MEng student in Professor Andre Ivanov’s research group, focusing on a project that aims to apply multi-agent deep reinforcement learning (RL) to very-large-scale integration (VLSI) global routing. This concurrent routing framework has shown promise in outperforming a traditional routing algorithm. With a broad interest in computer architectures and digital integrated circuits, Bruce is especially eager to learn and explore how machine learning can be applied within these areas. His current work involves developing a custom graph neural network that will be incorporated into his RL routing framework to improve the RL policies’ generalizability.
